Most people
know and understand the many health benefits of leading an
active lifestyle that includes regular exercise. Exercise
can benefit anywhere from increased lean muscle mass to
improved bone density to better flexibility and better
aerobic and anaerobic capacity. What most don't know is
that there is one significant detrimental effect of
exercise... Exercise induced oxidative stress.
Exercise
induced oxidative stress increases as exercise becomes
more rigorous. Oxidative stress can significantly impact
body repair and recovery post-exercise and as a result,
hinder optimum performance. However, individuals can
markedly reduce their oxidative stress and the impact it
has on the body through proper nutrition. With proper
nutrition, individuals can ensure the maximum health
benefits from their exercise regime.
Read below about what a few athletes and fitness
professionals have to say about the importance of eating
more fruits and vegetables and the role that Juice Plus+
can play in improving one’s health and well being. Juice Plus+'s ability to reduce exercise
oxidative stress is proven and published in sports and nutrition
journals.
Proper nutrition can enhance your physical performance and
ensure you are getting the maximum health benefits from
your physical activity.

Brett Favre
NFL Quarterback
We don't know how long he took Juice Plus+, but Brett Favre did during his only Superbowl winning season
with the Green Bay Packers, 1996-97.
The San Francisco Examiner
printed this article on Jan.1 1997:
"Favre juices up for success; New nutritional supplement, inner power lift him; If you ask Robert Brooks what has changed in
quarterback Brett Favre, he'll say it's the juice. Meaning the nutritional supplement known as
Juice Plus+
that Brooks, a Packers wide receiver, drinks religiously
and introduced to Favre this season. Brooks said the stuff
is effective, providing extra energy when players wear
down... "
In 1977, seventeen year old Maureen O’Toole began playing on
the U.S. Water Polo Team. Over many years the women’s
water polo team fought to have women’s water polo made a
division in the Olympics. By the year 2000, their wish had
come true. At the time, Maureen had been in retirement
for the past four years, only to come out of it for the
chance to finally compete in the Olympics. “I said, ‘Wow,
we’re finally it for the chance to compete in the
Olympics. This is going to be such fun.’ I had no idea
what I was getting myself into.”
The last two years leading up to the Olympics were
physically the hardest two years of her life. She was 39
years old and to play water polo at that level was
extremely difficult. She trained six or seven hours a day,
six days a week. On top of that, she needed extra energy
to care for her daughter Kelly.
At the Olympics, the US Water Polo team ended up playing
Australia in a heated game in the finals. Maureen and her
team ended up taking home the silver medal.
“I don’t believe I would have made it had it not been for
Juice Plus+. I’m super proud that I won a silver medal
for the United States. I thank Juice Plus+ for helping me
get there and I will continue to take it for the rest of
my life.”

Holly Flanders
U.S. Olympic Ski Champion
"The rigors of 10 years of racing on the World Cup and
Olympic downhill ski racing tour took a toll on my body! I
knew I needed to eat better--especially more fruits and
vegetables--but simply did not have the time. Athletes are
always looking for the edge, and I have found some pretty
great things in my search for vibrant health!"
“As an Olympic athlete, I have always
tried to absorb as much as I could about good nutrition. I
knew that fruits and vegetables were good for you and
learned that foods can heal. But try as I might, I knew I
didn’t eat enough. Then I finally got it, Juice Plus+.
Bottom line is I believe in Juice Plus+."
Katie Uter

Katie was a full-time student when she became the first teenager
to place in the top twenty at the Fitness America Pageant
- ESPN National Championships in November of ‘96. After
winning her first competition, the ‘96 Louisiana Regional,
the 19-year-old from Hammond, Louisiana went on to win an
ESPN 2 series event in Redondo Beach and then placed 14th
at the ESPN Nationals.
For those who said it was just beginner's luck, ‘97 went
on to see Katie win the Louisiana Regional for a second
time as well as another ESPN 2 event in Miami Beach.
"In 1997, I was training hard and did not have the
energy. I couldn’t get stronger. I couldn’t go further
in competition. It was early in 1998 that my sister
Shelly introduced me to Juice Plus+. That was a great
year for me and changed my life. I won three competitions
in three weeks and proved to myself that I could compete
again. People ask me all the time, ‘How do you do all
that you do?’ I answer, Juice Plus+ and my daughter.”

In 2002, Jo contracted a severe case of Glandular Fever
which moved onto Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This meant she
had to take a step back from competition for 12 months to
recover.
"I was a HUGE fan of the Atkins diet and pretty much ate
protein and nothing else! Crazy! (And I wondered why I had
no energy and why I kept getting sick.) I was getting
chest infections every three weeks, for nearly 6 months
straight! And because they always progressed quite
quickly, I had to continually go on anti-biotics. My
immune system was completely shot and I was very unhealthy
while trying to train and compete at a national level. I
used to eat a lot of sugary foods to compensate for
feeling so lousy. Juice Plus+ stopped the cravings
within a few days and I found myself reaching for an apple
and fresh fruit and vegies as a snack instead of an energy
drink or something similar. This was highly unusual for
me!"
"My friend’s even commented on how funny it was to see me
eating fruit and vegies instead of running down the shop
to get a quick fix for energy. In regards to my new
attitude to sport and getting the best out of myself,
perseverance and determination is what I believe it is all
about; one step after the other, every day, dealing with
every situation the best way that you can.”

refused to do so until he found a product that he truly
felt could give him a competitive edge. That is when he
found Juice Plus+.
Des was one of the first athletes in Australia to
introduce and urge his colleagues and peers to use Juice Plus+.
“I am proud to have been involved in the introduction of
Juice Plus+ to Australia and delighted to give my
absolute endorsement to the product as the ultimate single
greatest nutritional supplement I have come across."
"My family takes Juice Plus+ every day and that is one of
the greatest gifts I can give them. I have attained a
sense of well-being that other nutritional products
promise but can't deliver. Juice Plus+ is one of the best
preventative health measures available and I urge you to
try it yourself, you won’t be disappointed."

“Since I have been taking Juice Plus+ I have experienced
a very significant improvement in my own well-being and
have since researched the impressive independent
peer-reviewed research on Juice Plus+ thoroughly. In my
opinion Juice Plus+ is without doubt the single greatest
nutritional product I have ever come across and I now
recommend it to everyone I come in contact with. My whole
family has been taking Juice Plus+ every day since 1998,
and will continue to do so. There is absolutely nothing on
the market that even comes close to this product and it
just makes so much sense. I just wish I had taken Juice Plus+ during my competitive years".

and also working professionally in the health and fitness
industry, I have recognised one very important factor. A
good fitness program does not substitute bad eating
habits."
"This was the first time I had ever seen a nutritional
concept in perfect balance as nature intended. Since
eating Juice Plus+ every day I have had nothing but very
good results with the health of myself, my family and all
who I have advised to eat Juice Plus+. I believe that
Juice Plus+ is the greatest nutritional breakthrough in
the food industry and therefore advise all people to use
Juice Plus+ as the cornerstone to their nutritional plan.
Juice Plus+ (fruits and vegetables) is for everybody -
everyday."
Clare Hozak
Australian Sailing Team
“I was in the Australian Sailing Team from 2001-2004,
and went to Athens Olympics (2004) as Sarah Blanck's
training partner (Sarah won the selections). During this
time I was working 6am - 10am, going sailing, training
with weights for 1-2hrs, then going back to work from 4pm
- 8pm. Needless to say I was exhausted most of the time!
My routine continued into 2006 and I found myself getting
injured and run-down. I had a cold every second week and
was sore everyday. In April 2006 I met Andrew McNickle,
who introduced me to Juice Plus+. I have not been sick
since I started taking Juice Plus+, and I have regained
most of my personality that was somewhat drained during my
years as an athlete! My mother and I continue to take
Juice Plus+ everyday and I feel great about myself and my
health.”
