Life Planning V

You may well need more time to do this exercise justice - I fully understand!

I decided that I need to take a solid chunk of 6-8 hours while we are on vacation to go back over what I've done, re-do it, refine it and (I'm sure) take it to a much higher level of quality and therefore impact on my life in 2008 and beyond.

So, don't worry if you've not been able to work on your Life Plan properly yet - just commit to do what you can until you can do it 'for real', and keep these emails so you can go back to them when you have the time.

So far we've taken the first 3 Steps in our Life Planning journey:

1. Assessing where I am in life today.  This is so important, don't skip it ...  keep working on this until you are satisfied.

2. Determining what’s important to meDefining your Life Accounts is not a once-for -all-time deal. I'm sure you'll add to, delete from, and change your Life Accounts every year at least.

3. Completing the Purpose section for each Life Account.

Btw, my eight Life Accounts are these:
Spiritual Growth, Jenny, Family, Business, Friendships, Health/Fitness, Church, Fun/Adventure.

What are yours?

The next step on our Life Planning journey together is this:

4. Design your investment plans - using the Life Account Action Plan, begin to record specific strategies and actions you will attempt, to increase your net worth in each Account.

• Example: Spouse account - 30 minutes uninterrupted time with your spouse discussing the day.

• Example: Health account - run Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at noon

What will you do daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually to increase your net worth in all of your Life Accounts? List these activities on the appropriate Life Account sheet. These should be tangible and measurable.

Be realistic. Remember you still need to eat and sleep!
